Hi, I’m Leanne – the face behind LB Photography! I’m a wife, a mum, and a lover of cake, tea, and spontaneous dance parties in the kitchen. This page is all About LB Photography, the journey that brought me here, and the story behind the pink jacket you’ll always see me in at weddings.
I’ve wanted to get back into blogging for a while, but figuring out what to post first was hard. So I turned to social media for inspiration, and a good friend suggested I write about me – and what a great idea that was (thanks, lovely!). It’s not always easy as I’m dyslexic, and getting thoughts down can be a challenge, but here we go – this is me and the magic behind LB Photography.
A few things I love (and don’t love!)
I studied drama at college and uni. I once wanted to teach, but teenagers are scary!
I’m all about music and audiobooks. If I’m not dancing, I’m rewatching Friends.
I LOVE the sea and hope to live by the coast one day.
I adore cake, pizza, wine, and chocolate (the essentials).
I can’t stand fish (thanks, pregnancy).
Fitness isn’t really my thing, but I starting running and loving it.
Let me start off with a few snaps ...
How LB Photography began
This pink-jacketed journey started in 2018 when I launched LB Photography. I always knew I wanted to shoot weddings, but I wasn’t sure how to break into the industry. I joined Facebook groups, asked questions, and connected with some lovely humans. A massive thank you to Rachael Hoover and the fab team at Whoop Events East – Now Love Wedding Shows – they gave me the chance to attend my first wedding show, and it changed everything.
Since then, it’s been a whirlwind. I’ve now captured 109 weddings (how wild is that?!) and I’m still in love with every moment. Every couple is unique, and my mission is to make you feel so comfortable that it’s like having a friend with a camera by your side.
What to expect from me
Being a wedding photographer is about so much more than photos. It’s about support, energy, and being your biggest cheerleader. I’ll fluff your dress, fix buttonholes, make your nan laugh, and even photobomb a selfie or two. I’ve got a wedding day emergency kit in my bag and a heart full of love for this job.
I’m proud to be a member of The Guild of Photographers – a community that supports creativity and professional standards. My style is natural, relaxed, and full of life – just like the people I work with.
I love my job so much
Looking back on my early weddings compared to now, I see how far I’ve come. LB Photography has grown into something truly special – and it’s all thanks to my incredible couples, family, friends, and the community that supports me.
