So, you’ve booked your wedding photographer (yay!), and now you’re wondering… what to expect from your wedding photographer? Do we just show up on the big day and hope for the best? (Spoiler: definitely not.)
As your photographer, I’m with you every step of the way – not just behind the camera on the day. From our first email to the final photo delivery, here’s what to expect from your wedding photographer – before, during, and after your wedding day.
Before Your Wedding: All About Preparation (and Peace of Mind)
Once you’ve booked me, the planning begins! I’ll be in touch to guide you through the next steps – and don’t worry, it’s all really relaxed.
✨ A friendly check-in: We’ll have a catch-up (via video or in person!) to chat about your day, your plans, and your photography hopes. Want golden hour photos? Confetti chaos? Group photo help? I’ll cover it all.
📝 A final wedding call: A few months before your wedding, we will have a call, zoom or meet up so I can gather all the essential details – timings, addresses, family photo lists, special moments to watch out for, and anything else you want me to know.
📸 Engagement shoot (if you’ve added one!): It’s a great chance for us to work together before the wedding and for you to feel camera confident. And bonus – you’ll get some lovely, relaxed photos of just the two of you. You can read more about my engagement shoots here.
Also, you can be in touch with me as little or as much as you like on the lead up until your wedding day! I love getting to know you both, it really does help you feel more relaxed on your day.
On Your Wedding Day: Calm, Confident, and Camera-Ready
When the big day arrives, I’ll turn up with my cameras, comfy shoes, and my pink jacket (always!). So, what to expect from your wedding photographer on the day?

💌 Your full gallery: Your full set of beautifully edited photos will be delivered via your private online gallery – ready to download, share, and relive again and again.
